This site is live 24/7 with a live microphone and a small picture in picture in the corner of the view of a mom cat who has 5 babies. The camera is fixed and shows a big kitchen. Cats and kittens are everywhere, 2 cats asleep in beds on the floor. A cat lover man was bringing different cats up close to the camera, I think he was the home owner and the main cat socializer.

Best of all this cat rescue is on East Coast time.

Hi Susa, I want you to know that I love your new kitten banner pic. Very cute long hair fuzzy orange tabby with dilated eyes. emoticon I have to stop and look at him for 5 minutes every day.

Now about [sign in to see URL]. Do you remember The Owl Box? It was UStream like this kitten site is.

I joined the chatters, said my hello, got welcomes and learned a little by asking questions. Btw, you click the typing chat field to sign up/log in, the forms will come up. Earlier I had clicked the FB link and while I was filling out the kitten forms it assigned me this nickname; fb-755045053. And there was no way to edit it so I deleted my account and started over. Dang! Now I'm Kittypause there.

The rescue center's info:
16 cats with CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) Loss of control of back legs.
2 tripod kitties
1 blind kitty
At least 1 more kitty has a disability or a medical issue.

Around 10pm treats were handed out then the 2 to 3 month old kittens started to play. Zoomies were running the full length of the kitchen into the back room. Sneak attack, play fighting, etc, it was a riot! emoticon

Almost forgot telling about that big circle object with the blue logo on it. It's a gerbil wheel, there's a runway on the edge of it. There's one all black kitten that loves this wheel, every time he walks by he stops and goes for a run on the wheel. LOL

This sounds like a great group!

The lucky disabled cats, to find such a place.

I will be checking in there often and will eventually sign up. I have learned from what happened to you. I will use Pawsitive, if it is available.

PS: I am glad you like the kitty up top! I wish I could change the color of the floor to match the room better. I will probably play with that, but I guess green goes OK. I have green and blue all over my house.

This morning I saw 3 young children around the age of 7 to 12, they were likely the kids of the mom volunteers. Those kids made me nervous running from place to place and fiddling with things. I was relieved to not see any injured kitties.

And it would be so easy to injure a kitty! I almost stepped on Hobbes tonight! He just doesn't have enough legs left for that to happen!!! Especially kittens would be under foot. The kids should sit on the floor.

I saw that orange tripod kitty on my first visit.

Also saw a CH tabby kitty with splayed back legs walking around then he took off running like the wind. emoticon

I read all about kitties with CH. It's caused by a virus that mom cat can get, if she is pregnant the virus affects kittens in the womb and causes damage to the kittens cerebral cortex.
Interesting that CH kitties are expert climbers.

 📖 😸

Valeta's baby room is the one seen on the picture in picture view. Thursday morning the camera was pointed at her room's open door and the little kitties started coming out to the main activity room. They stayed close to the baby room and had a great time exploring their new world.

The day before yesterday ffrc added a muted calico kitten to the bunch, her name is Fawn, and she was accepted.
Valeta's five other baby's names are; Panda, Rez, Gandolf, Tia and Tio.

Oh, Valeta had her spay operation this week, when she came back she started nursing kittens who wanted mom's milk. All her kittens are weaning off now.

Thursday they had a very successful raffle rasing $3,585 and with the "bump up" donations brought the total to $4,400. I believe they have a non profit store.

Also on Thursday they had BOXES openings, received boxes of gift goods, food, snacks, bedding, office supplies and kitty toys, etc. The lady opening and taking out each gift then describing it said "Oh thank you very much", naming the sender.

I'm learning the names of a few kitties. Lena, a white kitty with black patches can be seen sitting on the palm tree platform near the camera, she likes to look at the chat monitor and she's waiting for a petting as people pass by. emoticon

I've seen a bunch of kitties this time, along with three half grown kittens. I saw two cats that have trouble walking and also a black kitty and the yellow Paddy again, plus more.

Odd that three out of Valeta's five kittens look like Seal Point Siamese so that's what they're calling them. These 3 kittens are named Rez, Tio and Tia, Tia is the girl kitten.

I've seen a approx 4 month old Tabby kitten who is totally disabled, he can't stand up but he holds his head up and flips his body around to move. It's pitiful to watch him, they say he's healthy and happy. His name is Froggy.

A chatter told me they have 16 CH cats more or less.

Oh, today I saw Paddy run on the wheel, he got that wheel going at 50 mph for 10 seconds, slowed it down and stepped off for a 5 minute rest then he did it again and once more for the last time. I was amazed to see a cat run so fast, it was beautiful.

And that ginger tripod kitty's name is Phillip.

Tonight I found loads of FFRC videos on YouTube. They upload a 45 min to 56 min video of highlights of cat activity every day. I wanted you to see Paddy running on the wheel today but it hasn't been uploaded yet so I watched a few of the other short videos. Then I found this Paddy Running short (28 sec) video filmed on May 12, 2015.

The info reads:
"Published on May 12, 2015
2015-05-12 7:54am @ FFRC. Paddy Cakes 7 seconds burst of energy on the wheel."

And another Paddy run on Jun. 17, 2015 with Corby adding himself to the run at the same time (47 sec), really funny, there's a time lapse replay at the end. Title: FFRC 20150617 Paddy+wheel+Corby

Paddy is wonderful! Wouldn't it be fun to have a wheel like that? I hope they do have a video of Paddy running so fast!

I saw that kitty dragging himself around. So his name is Froggy. And the Tripod is Philip. I hope by typing their names, I remember them.

Yes, Froggy is the totally disabled kitty, he can't stand or walk. He lives in a cage, they take him out to play once or twice every day.

I don't know the name of the kitty who drags his bottom around.

Hensley is the splayed back legs tabby who is always around.

The night before last they had a camera outage so while the lady tech was fixing it they fed us a Ustream from a member named DawnstarUK, yes England! Dawn's camera was a manual control panning type that took scenes of her back patio. On the front edge and around the ends of the patio she had vegetable and flower gardens. We saw four foot tall tomato plants loaded with tomatoes. I recognized a gladiolas and a petunia. And three kitties were walking around and sitting.
