Feb 2, new push for Windows 10

I have not read these thoroughly, yet, but Windows 10 tried to install itself this morning. However, I have it set to have to have permission to download and install and that saved me from installing it. I do not have 3035583 installed and yet it still tried to force me to get Windows 10.

Even if it weren't for my issues with PaintShopPro and needing 7 for that, it is becoming a matter of principle now. emoticon

I let or chose to have it update a long time ago. But those like you with compatibility issues should NEVER have to have it...

Before my brother died, he tried to get me to buy a more updated copy of Paint Shop Pro, but I like the one I have and I don't know how to use everything on it ye, so I can't see the value of buying a PSP with more bells and whistles. My copy of it was free. I was very lucky when I got it and I like it. It is Paint Shop Pro Studio. It is an abbreviated version, I think.

Paint Shop Pro Studio came out in 2004. I know I got it after I moved into this house, which was in 2005. I am guessing I got it in 2006. It was not compatible with Windows 7, when I got Windows 7, but I found out if I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro, I could make it work and that was what I did. It was less expensive to upgrade than to buy a new Paint Shop Pro, plus I liked the version I had.

 emoticon

I would imagine if I got an updated version, I would have to learn it all over again. PSP Studio is an abbreviated version. It never did have all of the bells and whistles.

I'm sure we would. Mine has the basics really. But that is really all I need.

Susa, maybe it's time to start removing and blocking all that Windows-10 stuff that they have hidden throughout your computer.

I've downloaded the app ]Aegis but since I haven't been nagged by MS Windows-10 I haven't yet executed the file.

Here's the article that explains what Aegis does.
Can you believe there are over 30 Knowledge Base (KB) updates referring to Win-10.
article.

Re:

Aegis does not look like a simple fix. I can turn down the Windows 10 update for 6 more months and not get it. If things get worse, I will explore Aegis or that second link I posted above. That link tells how to avoid getting it.
