Re: Susa's Pets I like your set [sign in to see URL]'s nice and easy to care for.
I can see where Piper in a huge hurry as all young ones [sign in to see URL] just run in and go! And end up in that crack..
Re: This is Lily, wagging her tail furiously, hoping for an early biscuit. I was just hoping to get a video of that wagging tail, so Piper ran over and knocked her over. Lily didn't seem to mind, but they ruined my photo op.

This is Lily on this same day in 2010. What a difference!
Re: On the other end is a wall. There are walls on 3 sides. It would be where the stairwell would be, if this house sat on a foundation with a basement, on its own land. The fence is around it because the first box I made had no box in the bottom at all. I had hung a plastic table cloth off of that fence. Then I laid newspapers on the plastic table cloth. Lily had put a hole in the table cloth and so I searched for a box (the other box). Now, I left the fence because it made the space the right size for the box.
I would have to get a very big mirror, if I put a mirror there.
Re: I just caught her in the act! She went in the box and ran around in the paper, came out of the box and peed. She god whacked with a paper. No. I didn't hurt her. I told her about her ancestors again.
Re: Susa's Pets Perfect!!! And a rolled up newspaper is what the experts will tell you to use...
AND when she DOES use the box the right way, try to catch her then too, and reward her inside the box...
She will figure it out soon enough..
Re: I hope that she does. However, if she never figures it out, I have to remember that she pees in the same place and it is on linoleum and it is easy to wipe up. She has not done this too terribly long. At one point, she always went in the box. She has peed out of the box a couple months. I know that she is a clean freak, so if she poops in the box, I can understand why she steps out to pee. I can't figure out why she doesn't pee in the box when it is perfectly clean.
I also don't like wasting paper towels on this, but they probably don't cost any more than newspapers. I don't really want to use a rag because I don't want the washing machine always full of pee. LOL
Re: Susa's Pets I'd say your calculations are pretty spot on.
My 3 legged Taz never got more than 8 pounds. But she was also a "runt"...Mama cut off her milk and was going to let her die because she was [sign in to see URL] is Nature.
But that wee kitten was NOT going to give [sign in to see URL] neither did I...
Re: Susa's Pets Yes it would!!
I have Ginger who is "catzilla"..she is huge. NOT just fat (she is fat) but her head and paws are bigger than any cat I ever [sign in to see URL] the toms! She weighs in last time at almost 20 pounds.
Then I have Gaia, and Miss [sign in to see URL] the other end of the [sign in to see URL] are wee tiny things. Even though fully grown and a few years [sign in to see URL] enough to put on some weight that is not associated with "growth"..and they barely weigh 10/11 pounds.
The twin feral [sign in to see URL] bigger than their mother, slender, find boned though...
Where as Patches my other [sign in to see URL] solid and [sign in to see URL] not large head or [sign in to see URL] big bones.
Then there is my youngest [sign in to see URL] is going to be a solid stocky cat. She is not as long as Patches, but a lot longer than Gaia, Miss Kitty. But I bet in another year, she will be pushing 13 pounds or so...
