GOOD FRIDAY, Feb. 17th MY FRIENDS!

I did not have anything I needed to rush off to do this morning, so I slept in! Well, at least an extra half hour. Then had a leisurely [sign in to see URL] went outside and refilled my bird feeders.
Not a lot to do [sign in to see URL] feels nice. [sign in to see URL] IS Fiesta Friday, so don't even have to worry about dinner.
Hope you all have a nice Friday....♥

HI SUSA...I honestly think cats and dogs to some bullying!
I know when I had to have a very old cat [sign in to see URL] of horrible matted [sign in to see URL] other cats were "chattering" at her when she came back home. Might have been just because she looked and smelled different. BUT she, herself looked embarrassed, sad...

I went to Walmart, today, and got my groceries. I didn't quite as many apples as I wanted. They didn't have very many. I do have enough for two weeks. So, do I go find more tomorrow, or do I put it off for two weeks? Probably put it off for two weeks.

GOOD SUNDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

So yesterday was a good day. Hubby slept in, then we went to breakfast. Then we got home, opened the RV for the first time since we got buried in snow. It started right up, and there was no water damage inside! Then while it was running, charging the batteries, we tore down and flattened all the boxes in the garage and cleaned it up enough to find storage for the snowblower and car carrier. Then we went over and got Dad's truck dug out from the snow, and started [sign in to see URL] was smoking at first, but started right up and ran like a charm. Then hubby and I went Meridian, to the Yard [sign in to see URL] dinner. Then hubby has been needing a new watch for [sign in to see URL] out of the blue we stopped at Macy'[sign in to see URL] were going out of business, so he got one awesome watch at 70% [sign in to see URL]! I spent all this morning doing some research on a subject for some [sign in to see URL] doing up the bedding. We are taking Mom and Dad out to dinner here local [sign in to see URL] rain had them cooped up and getting ally with each other! LOL
IT IS SO FOGGY! Because it's been raining for 2 days now.
But that is my weekend so [sign in to see URL] you all are having a good one. ♥

SUSA...glad you got there. I've been into buying Fuji apples. My goodness they are so sweet and juicy! For some reason they taste so good sliced up with some Triscuit crackers! I KNOW! Weird combination! emoticon

Hi Queeny! I love Fuji apples! I didn't even think about looking for them. I guess I partly didn't want to rock the boat. Things are going well with my tummy lately. The next time they are low on red delicious, I will look for them. I could alternate them with red delicious and perhaps that wouldn't rock the boat.

I am very glad that Roger found a great watch. It is too bad that Macy's is going out of business. I have no clue if ours is still in business. It sounds as though you had a great day yesterday and got a lot done.

Tonight, I was passing out treats to the girls and Hobbes when I saw Joseph laying on the playpen lid. He likes treats, too, but doesn't often come for one, so I took one to him after I had passed treats out to the others. He was in the middle of eating his and Hobbes jumped up there and hissed at him. Joseph dropped his treat and didn't eat it. He never did touch it again. emoticon

GOOD MONDAY, [sign in to see URL] DAY, and more [sign in to see URL] MY PETS [sign in to see URL] FRIENDS!

Doing up laundry, making some special people graphics for their [sign in to see URL] listening to music.
Mom and Dad had a good time out to dinner last night. Dad is loving that new [sign in to see URL] Country Kitchen, in Ontario, Or. Mostly because he can get a really good chocolate milk shake. ♥
They invited us over for dinner [sign in to see URL] roast and apple [sign in to see URL]!
Hope you all have a really fantastic day. ♥

They are super sweet and the texture is different than Red delicious. So it might rock the boat, but maybe doing it your way, would not...
We never shop at Macy's, or at least rarely. They are just to expensive. [sign in to see URL] made me say, lets go! LOL
Oh [sign in to see URL], I think Hobbes has begun to rule.
In our house, Miss Kitty the feral has decided she likes these new [sign in to see URL] is amazing for her. AND she lets me put my hand with several treats down, right under her nose. Often she smells my arm.
[sign in to see URL] order for her to have enough time to EAT hers before my other bullys finish their [sign in to see URL] take the treats for my other three that love [sign in to see URL] I scatter them all over the [sign in to see URL] a good 2 foot area, so they all have to search and [sign in to see URL] give Miss Kitty time to eat hers! LOL
[sign in to see URL] needs a 'squirt' bottle shot when he's being a [sign in to see URL] get that. Miss Kitty has never been squirted. So she sits right there and watches the others RUN! I don't even have to "squirt" most of the time now, just say their names and pick up the [sign in to see URL] they RUN! emoticon

You may be right about Hobbes and the squirt bottle (squirt gun at my house).

Poor Joseph cannot see his treat. What I do is hold it right up to his nose and then slowly lower it to the floor while he follows with his nose, or he loses it and can't find it.

This morning:

Hobbes and Joseph - all ears are forward!

GOOD TUESDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Had a good long [sign in to see URL] last nights dinner was fabulous at Mom'[sign in to see URL] always! I am so glad she loves to [sign in to see URL] I really don't! 😜 But she does and she hates to try to cook for just her and [sign in to see URL] she says..."they are just not fun any more and they have to eat if for a week!"
[sign in to see URL] all night long. Lovely sound to sleep to, but the Weiser and Malheur Rivers are now above flood [sign in to see URL] warning was issued yesterday:
****Flooding is expected in city streets, parking lots, fields, small creeks and streams and low-lying roads, according to the warning. Homes with poor drainage around the foundation are at risk for basement flooding.****
I have to remember to pick up all the cat crunchies tonight, as Ginger is going in first thing tomorrow morning for fasting blood work, so that [sign in to see URL] one will sleep tonight! 😸
Doing up some laundry [sign in to see URL] YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!

SUSA...we did enjoy dinner. My Mom is a great [sign in to see URL] am not! emoticon AND she loves to [sign in to see URL] do not! But she hates to cook the same things over and over for just her and Dad. She loves to cook for us. emoticon

I put a youtube video down in the [sign in to see URL] those two! emoticon

GOOD WEDNESDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!
It is also "Inconvenience yourself day" :) I will add what that means at the bottom of this post.
As for [sign in to see URL]'m taking Ginger back to the vet. She wants to do Blood work and recheck her leg. AND see if she can help with the constipation, poor old girl is a mess. That comes early this morning, as she needed to "fast"...nothing but water since last night. Unfortunately, that means I took the crunchy food up when we went to bed, and NONE of the cats has had [sign in to see URL] they all are acting like they might keel over at any second! :) AND we, [sign in to see URL] (hubby can sleep through a tornado)..got no sleep! KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED that Ginger just needs a splint for her foot and help with her [sign in to see URL] it's nothing more serious.
I will then catch you all later when I get back home.
[sign in to see URL] "INCONVENIENCE YOURSELF DAY"
****You know those days when you just can’t be bothered to get out of bed? Well, Inconvenience Yourself Day is not one of them. So, put on your happy face and go out there and be nice! The concept may have originated from Ms. Julie Thompson and it was meant to serve as an incentive for others to acknowledge their appreciation for acquaintances or strangers and to promote a respectful attitude and an attentive demeanor. We can all celebrate by simply opening a door for an old lady, giving up a seat to a pregnant lady, helping a child cross the street, stopping to ask if a tourist is lost and needs directions, offering to carry a suitcase up the stairs and generally making a small sacrifice. But most of all, we have to reflect on what others need and how we can help. It can make a big difference!****

SUSA...figured you would get that! emoticon

I am assuming that your poor kitties finally got to eat. I also hope that your vet finally gets Ginger fixed up. The poor girl. She has been through a lot. How old is she? I am sure I have asked that before.

My kids have all been good, today. Hobbes watched me give Joseph a treat without trying to beat him up. I did squirt Hobbes once today. Joseph has taken over Isabel's old computer bed. I had taken the long ramp away from that and made it so that Piper can't get up there. Then I put a short ramp up to it that the cats can access. Joseph likes to sleep in there. There is a chicken wire cage up over it so it can't be accessed any other way. Hobbes got on my mother's chair and jumped on top of the chicken wire. Joseph was below asleep and then Hobbes started hissing at Joseph, so I squirted him. Hobbes was away from there fast and he didn't come back. I am not sure that Hobbes has ever figured out how to get into that bed. He has to come up under it.

GOOD THURSDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Well, that was a long night. I made Ginger a bed in a large, deep clear tote with a soft towel and then her cat bed inside. That way she could not move without me [sign in to see URL] thing tossed and turned all [sign in to see URL] could not get comfy, and I had to help her move. Would not do anything before [sign in to see URL] food, water and no litter box duties. This morning, she did piddle with me holding her up. That splint seems to "long/tall"...clear up into her shoulder. But she did [sign in to see URL] no Poop! And she ate some moist [sign in to see URL] not want any water. Doc is supposed to call me when the other doc calls her about whether or not to move the dislocation back into place...
This is going to be crazy! We are [sign in to see URL] $700 into this booboo and still one miserable cat. And [sign in to see URL] has her surgery. I hope Ginger can walk on her own by then, splint or no splint.
NEEDLESS to [sign in to see URL] today. Doing up bedding. Then I need to change the cat [sign in to see URL] Garbage collection is a day late this week. So that has to go out tomorrow. And tomorrow I'm taking Mom shopping for the last time in probably a couple [sign in to see URL] to her surgery. ALSO I won't be changing the boxes next week, won't have time. They can easily go 2 weeks, but NOT three... I also want to make up a big batch of Cabbage soup and SuperNacho (more like a very hearty burrito mixture)...so that Dad has something easy to eat, when Mom and me are in the hospital..
Think if I have time, I'll make his [sign in to see URL] Butter [sign in to see URL] over [sign in to see URL] he can dunk them in [sign in to see URL] well.
Hubby leaves Sunday for California, won't be back till Thursday, my birthday...
HOPE TODAY IS A GREAT DAY FOR YOU ALL! ♥

SUSA....Ginger is still not doing good. She is 13 years old. AT least as far as we all figured. We have had her 10 years. Her previous Mama (Chris's high school GF)...said the human society said they "thought she was about 1 year old" at the time she adopted her.

OH DEAR!! Hobbes! Such a brat. Good with the squirt [sign in to see URL] darn cats have to learn that "bullying" is not going to work around our houses! emoticon

GOOD FRIDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Just FLYING [sign in to see URL] I drop Ginger off at the vets, (She finally called about 4pm).. they are going to make her splint a wee bit shorter, and give her a shot of steroids..(Prednisone) to help take down the swelling around her ankle. And then while they have her, Mom and I are going on her last grocery shopping day out for a while before her surgery on her knee. Then we will hopefully pick Ginger up, and pick up her prescription for Gabapentin.
Head on home, put Mom's groceries away and then come here, unload Ginger and my [sign in to see URL] hope that they have Ginger at least wobbling or flopping or [sign in to see URL] her own.
Busy [sign in to see URL] now, [sign in to see URL] you all.
Weather here is going to be sunny but cold. It is 24 degrees right now, going up to 34 degrees F. Snow by [sign in to see URL] much I hope...
Hope you all have a brilliant day.

GOOD SATURDAY, [sign in to see URL] my friends!

Well, hubby changed his [sign in to see URL] is NOT working today. At least not for work, [sign in to see URL] I won't be here after I post this. We are then heading out to breakfast, then getting our hair cut, the we hope to get the Xmas decorations down, at least the ones stuck in the lawn. (Hubby will take those up and put them [sign in to see URL] need to make a pot of Cabbage soup for me and Dad to eat, while Mom is in the Hospital) The lights around the eaves of the house might have to wait, as we still have huge piles of snow, from it all being shoveled off the roof.
Then going out with Mom and Dad for an early Bday dinner celebration for me...(it's not till Thursday) but Mom won't be in any shape for getting out. Then back to Mom and Dads for my Bday [sign in to see URL] we get to pick our own, so mine is Strawberry [sign in to see URL] Mom's sweet biscuit recipe. ♥
Then tomorrow morning [sign in to see URL] is off to California for his business meetings.
So, wishing you all a great [sign in to see URL] you tomorrow morning for coffee..♥
OH AND [sign in to see URL] a shorter splint and I know she can walk, as when I opened the carrier, she literally [sign in to see URL], as good as a cat with a stiff leg can [sign in to see URL] of that thing! LOL
SHE HATES [sign in to see URL] has not used the litter box on her own [sign in to see URL] held her, so she could pee and she ate her breakfast with extra water just [sign in to see URL] she has yet to POOP! But, at least I know she won't fall over and get stuck that way when I'm at the hospital with Mom.:)

SUSA....I sure hope you did not have any bad weather. I hate to hear the word TORNADO... emoticon

GOOD SUNDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS.

Well, I was up at 4am. To have a cup of coffee with Hubby before he took off for California for business meetings. Then I fed the cats and went BACK TO BED! LMAO I know that tomorrow morning I will be up at [sign in to see URL] Mom to the hospital by 6am and not sleep till late tomorrow night. Today, I need to clean, as I won't be doing any of that this here this week. I also need to to the pharmacy and pick up another prescription for [sign in to see URL] I want to make a batch of peanut butter cookies for Dad to munch on while Mom is gong. He likes his best if they are slightly overdone, so he can dunk in his coffee. :)
Then later bath time and tomorrow will start a long day.
Keep Mom in your thoughts and prayers for tomorrow morning that all goes well during her complete knee surgery.
OH and [sign in to see URL] got all the lawn Christmas decorations and tree lights [sign in to see URL] the house eave lights still left.
AND had a nice dinner out with Mom and Dad and then came back to Mom and Dad's for fabulous Strawberry shortcake and I got a nice pair of jeans for my bday...♥
FOR [sign in to see URL] is Gingers shorter splint. SHE STILL HATES IT! But she can [sign in to see URL] she can.

WOW! One thing about waking up at 3:30am, I only had ONE email!
Actually, the worry-wart that I am, was awake every couple hours looking at the clock. Decided at 3am to just get up. Fed the cats and now have my coffee. Will need a decent breakfast this [sign in to see URL] to be sitting in a waiting room for quite a while.
I will update here when I can....
I hope you all have a truly marvelous day..♥

GOOD TUESDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS! (Last day of the month)
MOM DID REALLY WELL IN [sign in to see URL] doc said that when he got in [sign in to see URL] knee was a complete mess. It was a good thing she decided have this done.
But that the operation went really [sign in to see URL] the knee looked [sign in to see URL]'s half steel and half plastic.
Mom did well too... As of last night, the morphine they injected into her spine, was doing great!

SEE end of post for update on today

BOY! Did I sleep last night. Was in bed by 8:[sign in to see URL] woke up till the alarm went off at 6:30AM! :) And for some reason my furkids let me [sign in to see URL] I just slept through their [sign in to see URL] doubt [sign in to see URL]
[sign in to see URL] a little less than an hour, I have to stop by Mom and Dad's house and pick up Mom's walker, she will hopefully be needing that today, then I'm stopping at the Ontario Feral Cat house or at Amy's place of work and dropping of some cat [sign in to see URL] were pretty low on the food they need caregivers to feed the feral colonies.
THEN I get to go to the hospital and learn how to give Mom shots in the stomach. I think the shots are a combination of anti blood clot medicine and antibiotics. I'll be giving them to her for the next two weeks.
After [sign in to see URL] sure. At some point, I will bring Dad back over to visit [sign in to see URL] than that, its all up in the air.
OH GINGER is doing [sign in to see URL] sort of had [sign in to see URL], ......[sign in to see URL] help her get some very compacted poo [sign in to see URL] she's not moaning and should be able to move on her own. She is back to eating good, and she's walking with her splint on, the full length of the house.
[sign in to see URL] will see you all when I can see you. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.

UPDATE FOR TODAY...

Just got done visiting with Mom. I guess about 3am the morphine wore off and she got [sign in to see URL] she was throwing up again this morning, early. But just before I got there. She ate some oatmeal and some tea. So she was doing better. She got all her meds and her first "physical therapy"...and even walked down the [sign in to see URL] steps is the goal for the first day, and she did that easily. We got her dressed in some soft gym shorts and a tee and a sweater.
I learned to give the [sign in to see URL] we did that. Then visited a bit.
[sign in to see URL] 1pm I'm taking Dad back over [sign in to see URL] he and I will check out the cafe at the hospital after we visit with Mom a bit. That way neither of us will have to cook dinner. AND the hospital gave us 2 coupons for $5 for a complete [sign in to see URL], we gotta use those!

[sign in to see URL] is my day so [sign in to see URL] need to clean the car windows. With all the melting snow, they are a mess!
HOPE YOU ALL ARE HAVING A GOOD TUESDAY.. emoticon

Things are sounding good, Queeny. I hope that you mother does not get sick anymore. I am proud of you for learning to give her the shots. I had to do that for my mother for her diabetes. It is not an easy thing to get the courage to do that, but it really isn't hard. In my case, I had been giving shots to animals for years. I am thinking that you have done shots for your cats, too.

Mom update:

AFTER THIS MORNINGS VISIT

They decided she could NOT be released to come home today. Her blood pressure is still to low.
So she is kinda feeling down a bit, so of course going through physical therapy with more pain upset her... she doesn't like the food... lets just say... I need to get her spunk back!
I am picking Dad up at noon... hopefully he will be happy with lunch and a visit.

AFTER THIS AFTERNOONS VISIT WITH DAD

Well Dad was in a good mood, because we finally got to eat at the [sign in to see URL] the coupons Mom and I got for attending that surgery class. [sign in to see URL] had Salmon Teriyaki and mixed vegetables and rice and a drink, and I had chicken and [sign in to see URL] the [sign in to see URL] was FREE! He loved his [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL]?! So then we went up to Mom's room and made her smile. I forgot to take my own photo, perhaps I will remember tomorrow. Lucky for me, Albertson's has their Floral dept on [sign in to see URL] I got her one of these Spring Sunflower mason jar bouquets... (SEE BELOW)...Had a nice visit, and everyone was smiling when we [sign in to see URL] and she was going to be happy for [sign in to see URL]'s getting a burger and fries! AND we decided that the Universe delayed her ONE day, so she would be coming home ON my [sign in to see URL] present ever...

SUSA...you are correct! I have given my cats shots for years!
Mom said it's so weird. She can give her cats a [sign in to see URL] could to it to Dad. She just can't bring herself to give her own shot! emoticon
I don't [sign in to see URL] gives us a chance to have our morning coffee together. emoticon

[sign in to see URL]! I forgot to say at the SUNROOM..
[sign in to see URL] HAD A HUGE BOWEL MOVEMENT! emoticon Like I said [sign in to see URL] sort of helped her yesterday.
AND then this [sign in to see URL] peed, then tried to poop again. But she literally got one wee marble out and gave up, got out of her box and flopped in her bed! I was like.."MAN! Here we go again"...Then I came back in about an hour later, just before heading over to the hospital, and I could smell one nasty cat [sign in to see URL] I looked in the box, nothing. I thought that perhaps she had one stuck on her. Lifted her tail IN HER [sign in to see URL] there was this huge pile of poop! emoticon I wonder if she sort of still felt like she needed to poop, and kind of pushed and it all just came out?
I HONESTLY don't care (as long as she does not make a habit of it)....she had a nice big old movement and I KNOW she has got to feel better!
Happy Bday to [sign in to see URL] got a turd for my present! emoticon

emoticon Yay, Queeny! That is a very good birthday present for you!!! Yay, Ginger.

I am glad that your mother is coming home on your birthday. That is also a nice present. Her flower is beautiful! So cheerful and I am glad she gets a hamburger tonight.

Your dad's lunch sounds especially good. I would love exactly what he had.

My Internet is still not straightened out and they ended up not coming today, because of the weather. There was too much wind damage everywhere and they needed to pull people away from regular repairs to work on it. They are coming tomorrow and I sure hope that I get back from the doctor's quickly enough for them to come. On the other side of them, I have piano students. I may be sending a student out her to sit with them in my kitchen. I don't want a stranger out here alone.

SO!! MOM IS HOME!! 💖💜💗💛💙
She's hurting pretty good, but in a very good mood and I left her sound asleep in her own bed.
Just finished picking up all her new and some old refill prescriptions. I'll take those over tomorrow morning when I go to give her the anti-clot shot.
She even sang "Happy Birthday" to me when I walked into the room this morning. So that made my birthday "official"..♥
[sign in to see URL] for a bit. Hubby will be back home about 9:30ish, Mom is home and Dad is waiting on her and EVEN the cat was sound asleep by [sign in to see URL] is right with the world. 🌈

Queeny, I am very glad that your mother is home and I will be glad for you when Roger gets home.

Yes! I would have sent a student out here to sit with the cable guy and we would have left the door open to the room. However, he was all done before my students got here and then my students had to change their time. They are coming tomorrow. Everything is working working well.

My girl student would have loved watching the hunky cable guy. LOL
