GOOD SATURDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Hubby messed me up, and decided he needed today off. So we slept in, which was easy as it's dark and overcast with possible rain today.
[sign in to see URL] might go down to Boise to the Spring and Garden show. Love those kinds of things. Then of course, since we are down there we will just check out all our favs. SO I WILL NOT be back online today. HOPE you all have a great day today!

AND, [sign in to see URL]'s on my favorite flower. Lilacs! emoticon

Hi Lucy and Queeny! I hope you both have a nice day.

I slept in a bit and so did my dogs. it is rainy/snowy here today, but tomorrow is supposed to be nice. I am glad to not have to go out, except for the paper and mail.

GOOD SUNDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Hubby and I had a lovely day yesterday. He actually slept in till almost 8am. Boy, did he need that. Then we had breakfast out, went to the Home and Garden show, got a ton of wonderful ideas. Then stopped at Heritage Reflections, that Amish [sign in to see URL] cleaning sale. The whole store was 20% off, and several huge tables were 65% off. Got some new pretties, then had a nice meal out for dinner and came home and relaxed. Today it is very dark and raining, Mom JUST [sign in to see URL] said she did not feel good enough to go out. Her pain meds make her sick and even the nausea stuff is not helping. She has tried two kinds of pain meds, but they all make her [sign in to see URL], no dinner out. Poor thing. Hopefully her knee with not hurt to much soon and she won't need to take the meds............ ♥
I hope you all are having a great weekend.

SUSA, I'm so glad you do not have to go out. If our weather head your way, then you will be getting warmer and wetter! emoticon

Hi Queeny. I feel badly for your mom that she can't seem to take any pain meds. I sure hope that she is out of pain very soon.

Today, I put up my new smoke alarms. The two I have had in the kitchen and music studio were very old, though they still worked. I keep hearing that they are past their life span. I have had a couple in my saved space on Amazon for months and the price went down $30, so this past week I got them. These are smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and they have 10 year batteries in them. Now, I only have one detector left that I need to change the battery in every year. It is in the storage room. Last year I put 10 year alarms in my bedroom and my mom's bedroom.

GOOD MONDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

Today we had an electrician come in to give us an estimate on installing a large ceiling fan in the living room. We have high ceilings in there and it would help with the heating and cooling costs. It's kind of a pain in the butt spot, no attic access.
But he gave us a fair estimate. And we told him we would like to have it done. So as soon as we buy the fan we want, we are to call him and he will get to us as soon as he can.
So not much going on, cept laundry. And I got the cat boxes cleaned already.
Hope you all had a great weekend and a decent Monday!

SUSA, I'm glad you changed those out. We have 10 years ones in this house. The lady before us, had those $[sign in to see URL] ones from Walmart. I just don't trust them... emoticon

Hi Queeny! I hope you find just the fan you want. I do have a ceiling fixture in the great room, but it on one end of the room. It is where the dining area was supposed to be. I don't think I am going to bother looking into a fan for there. I am sorry that you don't have a place in your ceiling that it would be simple to put your fan.

I wish that two years ago, when I bought the smoke alarm for the storage room, I had known about the 10 year alarms, but at least I am down to only replacing one battery at intervals.

Today, I got my apples at the grocery store near the vet's. I can go about two weeks until I need to go to Walmart for groceries. I thought perhaps I would have to go at the end of this week, but when I looked at my list, there was nothing on it except apples. I got a rotisserie chicken, today, too and some mashed potatoes. They were near the apples.

GOOD TUESDAY, Mar. 21st MY FRIENDS!

Well, I'll only be here for a hour or so. Then Hubby and I have to take Ginger down to WestVet in Garden City. About an hours drive from here, one way. To have the surgeons/specialist look at her.
Honestly, if they say she needs surgery, I'm not sure what we will do. Just putting her foot in a splint sent her spiraling down! And the last week now, she's been using it, limping yes, but she does not seem in pain. She is walking, jumping up and down on the couch, using her litter box and eating very well. I guess, I figured we MADE the appointment, (it's hard to see the specialist, Doc called for us. Probably because she is stumped!), but we made have the appointment, might as well see what they say. Will probably cost and arm and a leg! LOL
[sign in to see URL] will probably be most of my day. As just the driving alone is 2 hours. Then however long the visit is and what, if anything they are going to do.
[sign in to see URL] might see you all again late today.
HAVE A GREAT DAY ♥

SUSA.........I have a fan the bedroom too. The living room gets so hot in the afternoons because it has huge picture windows, and they are old, so not much protection. And that room is the only one that gets overly warm. I hate having the AC come on just for that room. That is where the thermostat is. So we cool the living room and freeze our buns off in the back bathroom! LOL
Glad you got some goodies. I like Walmarts rotisserie chicken. Hubby and I will have one meal out of it. Then I take all the meat off the bones and we use that chicken for chicken salads for lunch the rest of the week.

Queeny, I hope that things went well with Ginger.

Roy came today. He is sort of getting re-started after being away for awhile. Of course, I always enjoy when he comes. With the weather getting better, he will probably be able to get out more. I also checked the kids' bedroom, because Kate said there were crumbs on the bed. It wasn't crumbs. It was mud from Garett's shoes last night. There were also mud track in the music studio, so I cleaned both rooms. I didn't wash the bedspread yet because I was doing two other loads of clothes, today, so after my students, tomorrow, I will wash that.

GOOD WEDNESDAY, [sign in to see URL] MY FRIENDS!

WOW! Yesterday was one long day. Gingers appointment was at 10am. They got us in about 10:45am. Did a 2 doctor thorough exam. And wanted us to leave her, so they could run a barrage of tests. Fabulous hospital, wonderful [sign in to see URL] even printed up ALL they would be doing, and gave an estimate on how much. A low number and a high number and let us decide from there. Hubby said, "Ouch!" But we agreed that for most of the things they described, where the treatment would be some form of medicine, that she deserved a chance. AS for the dislocated wrist. It was dislocated, hence the swelling. But it had at one time, a LONG time ago, been broken. But they all agreed that they had NEVER seen that type of break in a cat. Rarely in dogs, and then ONLY in Racing Greyhounds! They had to have all the docs, staff and even the radiologist look at the x-rays, just too weird to believe.
Anywho in order for them to DO all the testing and to draw fluid from several joints to look for infections, or diseases like Lime Disease, she had to be sedated and all these fluid, blood, x-rays and what not to be performed. We had to leave her there, as they were going to "work" her in between the appointments, so we did not have to come back down. [sign in to see URL] were there from 10AM to 7PM! Long freaking day. Lunch out, wandered the mall, shopped for a ceiling fan, FOUND ONE, it is ordered and might be in by next Saturday. Then Dinner [sign in to see URL] we FINALLY picked her up, paid a small ransom and headed home. She's sleeping comfortably. She has 4 doses of a liquid pain medicine, as the sites where they drew fluid might hurt. Now we wait, to see if they can find a course of action for her joints in total. Surgery was ruled out on the dislocated wrist as she did so horribly with the splint, totally giving up (they actually call it "splint/cast paralyzes). And the break is so old there is nothing really that can be done for that.
SO, today I'm doing laundry and taking it easy. To much walking yesterday. Back, hips and feet hurt! LOL
I'll be [sign in to see URL] you all had and will have a great day!

SUSA, Oh I am so glad that ROY came. His health is terribly worrying! emoticon I hope with the better weather he can get out more. I like it when you two can solve the worlds problems. emoticon

I am so glad that you saw this vet. Things are starting to look up for Ginger. I bet she thought that yesterday was a long day, too. I am glad that everything got done in one day, even though it was many hours.

Today, I cleaned out my summer clothes. I got rid of a lot of old things. I put the clothes out for the trash. I didn't think that even the poor would want what I got rid of. Maybe a couple of the things someone would have wanted, but most of it not. I had things that I wore to work for 10 years and I quit work 14 years ago.

GOOD THURSDAY, Mar. 23rd MY FRIENDS!

Busy day for me again. Already have the garbage collected and out to the curb. I need to stop by Mom and Dad's and pick up their grocery shopping list. (Mom does not feel up to walking that much yet). Then I will head out to have the two cortisone shots in my big toes. Then go grocery shopping. Stop by the pharmacy and pick up two prescriptions for Ginger. (If they are done). Take Mom and Dad's groceries home to them, put them away. I "think" Dad wants a Haircut. Might give that to him tomorrow. Then come home and put my own groceries away. [sign in to see URL] not know when I will be back on line. Hopefully this afternoon sometime. YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!

SUSA
GOOD FOR YOU! Cleaning out my closets is always a chore. Well not so much for me, but HUBBY! I could toss half his [sign in to see URL] they are "his favorites"...... emoticon

I'm certain Ginger thought it was a long day too. That night when we got home, even though she was a bit groggy, she would not let me out of her sight. AND when we sat down to watch [sign in to see URL] HAD to be touching her [sign in to see URL] wee unhurt paw, would reach out and try to pull his arm towards her. She got a lot of petting...... emoticon

Awwwwww, poor Ginger. I sure hope that things are turning for the better now.

I got up late this morning. I don't think I have yet adjusted to the time change. I should start setting an alarm until I fall into a better routine. My students came and they did pretty good. I was pleased with them.
