Brrrrrrrr . . . we had that below freezing stuff a few days ago. I hope you don't sent yours our way. Tonight it is supposed to be 41 here, but next week we are to be in the 80's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I like the middle 60's to 70's the very best.

I am glad you had fun at the festival last night! It is good to be kids at heart.

My students, all three, did well today.

GOOD SATURDAY, May 13th MY FRIENDS!

Will not be online long today. It's fairly nice out, well at least it's not raining. But DANG! It's [sign in to see URL] have frost on the grass out [sign in to see URL]'s 34 degrees right now! But hubby wants to go out to breakfast, then he wants to dig up, or start to dig up those stumps. While I will clean the house. We also want to run out to Weiser Classic Candy to pick Mom up some of her favorite chocolates, to add to her Mothers day present.
Needless to say another busy day. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.♥

SUSA...I'm glad your students all passed... emoticon
Afraid I may be sending you MORE freezing temps! It was snowing in our mountains last [sign in to see URL] that is just what we need, more moisture.

GOOD SUNDAY, May 14th MY FRIENDS!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Yesterday, we got a couple of the biggest stumps dug up and off to the dump, along with last weeks mowing clippings. Then we got cleaned up, drove out to Weiser, to the chocolate place and picked up Mom a nice box of her favorites for Mothers [sign in to see URL] at the Second Chance consignment [sign in to see URL] the boys gave us hugs. They had a horrible Winter, one tore his shoulder shoveling off the roof, and the lack of business, because of all the snow, just about killed them. I feel so [sign in to see URL] are just the kindest, sweetest men.
I bought two.."going to be planters" for some fake flowers for my back patio.
Then we went out to Judy'[sign in to see URL] little hole in the wall restaurant in [sign in to see URL] just happens to have the BEST burger in fries in the [sign in to see URL] well as homemade PIE! I had Cherry with cream and hubby had Coconut cream. THEN we came back and went shopping at Walmart!

Today we have to replace the old side, towing mirrors and put new windshield wiper blades on Dad's truck.I want to get the cat boxes cleaned [sign in to see URL] being on prednisone makes her very strong. Already had my bath, and I also need to go out and tidy up the car, wash the windows, etc. Taking Mom and Dad out to Golden Corral in [sign in to see URL]'s choice, for Mother's Day.
[sign in to see URL] won't be here long again.

SUSA.....WHOOHOO!!! Nice weather! Last Thursday we were 85, I think, then on Friday we were 65! And we are still only in the mid 60s all this coming week.
I hope you stay warm, but [sign in to see URL] kinds of temperatures bring the risk of thunderstorms that can be dangerous.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO YOU TOO! emoticon

Hi Queeny! Happy Mother's Day! It sounds like you have had a great weekend. Do you have big holes where those stumps were? How did he dig them out? I hope you enjoy the Mother's Day Dinner.

Lily is going to get to use her thunder shirt this week end, I am pretty sure. It has been a pretty day, all day. I need to go get a shower and then the girls and I will go out and do the birds. I got in a lot of reading today.

GOOD MONDAY, May 15th MY FRIENDS!

We had a wonderful Mother's day yesterday. My son called and we had a nice long talk, and then we took Mom and Dad out to Golden Corral in [sign in to see URL] had quite the spread for Mother's day. I got Mom a metal red/white/blue wind spinner, from Andrews Seed Company in Ontario, for her front flower [sign in to see URL] has all kind of pretties in there. And a gift box of assorted chocolates, as well as a bag of their cream [sign in to see URL] her favorites, from the Weiser Classic Candy in Weiser, for Mothers day. Sure seemed to me that they both had a nice time.
Today, of course it's [sign in to see URL] LAUNDRY! :) But I may also get out and mow the lawn, it needs [sign in to see URL] then the cat boxes need changed [sign in to see URL] I think I only have back for the laundry and one of those others. We'll [sign in to see URL] YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL MONDAY!

SUSA......hope you had a good weekend. emoticon
Hubby dug those stumps up with a shovel, and had to use an axe to chop through some of the larger roots. There is a definite hole where they are pulled out. Might fill with dirt if we decide to plant. But it won't be this [sign in to see URL] will be gone a couple weeks the end of June, the 23rd thru July [sign in to see URL] I don't want Mom to have to water or worry about that. She's going to be feeding and scooping litter for Miss Kitty and for Smoky, he did not do well last year.

I bet they were very hard to dig up. Roger definitely got a work out. Where all do you plan to go on your trip? I hope it is a fun time.

Tomorrow starts our warm spell. It will be in the middle 80's tomorrow and Thursday and possibly 90 on Wednesday. Friday will be about 72, then back in the 80' for a couple more days, then in the upper 60's for about a week after that. Strange.

I hope I don't break my new bird bath. I fear it is fragile and I don't want to discourage my daughter.

GOOD TUESDAY, May 16th MY FRIENDS!

Whew! Lazy [sign in to see URL] month I get my "dreaming" homes. I have searches for the "PERFECT" [sign in to see URL] living, no visible neighbors, driving distance to stores and hospitals, with Mother in law quarters or [sign in to see URL] and around 3 places in NM and AZ. Had 466 new houses to look through today. It's fun, but nothing perfect yet. :)
[sign in to see URL] is raining like crazy here. It's 51 degrees, only going up to 56 degrees. The LAST thing this area needs is more water. The mountains are supposed to get 6-12 inches of new snow. Not [sign in to see URL] what can we do? Maybe put pontoons on our RV!😁
Not doing much [sign in to see URL] the bathrooms, might dust a bit, then playing online. HOPE you all have a great day.

SUSA......I have a metal stand, glass bowl bird bath. I got it when we moved in here, so that would be going on 5 Summers. It's a lot tougher than one would think. I do put it in a bit of a sheltered area, near my large lilacs and then empty it and take it in the garage in the Winter.
But, it has tipped off the stand and landed in my alyssum flowers, they might have softened the landing, I suppose.

quote:

Where all do you plan to go on your trip? I hope it is a fun time.

We are heading to Corpus Christi, TX Roger's oldest sister and her husband are having a family reunion to coincide with their 50th wedding anniversary.
I don't really want to go, as it's going to be a quick [sign in to see URL] fun stops except for overnights in the campgrounds. We will see Chris and Calli one night in Albuquerque, I think we might get to meet Cali's Grandma if she feels like coming out to dinner.
But, I get stuck with cleaning the RV, loading it up with our stuff, stopping the mail, setting up the two cats who are staying here, in the easiest way, for Mom to deal [sign in to see URL] setting up the other 5 cats things in the [sign in to see URL] when we get [sign in to see URL] it all!
I just do not feel up to it to be honest... emoticon

GOOD THURSDAY, May 18th MY FRIENDS!

Today is dawning bright and sunny and the temps are going up. High 60's [sign in to see URL] 90 by next week. All the mountains snow will start to melt .....fast. To fast.
[sign in to see URL]'s gorgeous out this morning, and Mom and I are going grocery shopping. Don't know what else we will get into, but on a pretty day like today, I'm sure it will be something! :)
[sign in to see URL] won't be here for a large chunk of the day, hope you all have a brilliant, beautiful day!

SUSA....yeah, and not wanting to go, does not make it any easier. If I could get in and clean, then load a little at at time, maybe it would be different. But I can't clean, until we take it in to the RV place to have it un-winterized. Last time they tracked mud everywhere and there is always antifreeze in the sinks, etc.
[sign in to see URL] can not get the RV there any earlier due to all this fricking [sign in to see URL] ground is so soft, if we try to take the rv [sign in to see URL] area we have it parked will get totally destroyed..... so it's got an appointment for the 25th of May. AND we are getting close to 90 next week, which will dry it out nicely, but also make it unbearably HOT to work in when we get it back..... emoticon

GOOD FRIDAY, May 19th MY FRIENDS!

Gorgeous day on store! Highs to be around 75 degrees. I may have to get outside and do something! LOL I have a drip line that needs re-situated. Of course it's Fiesta Friday, so no cooking. Matter of fact I won't be cooking all weekend. We are celebrating Mom's Birthday tomorrow, [sign in to see URL] going to her favorite little restaurant in Emmett. (Her real bday is Monday, but the place is only open for breakfast and Lunch on Sunday).....BUT THEN on Sunday, Dad is going to try to make a "tri-tip" on the BBQ. My Nephew does it all the time and it's fabulous, so we will see.
So you [sign in to see URL] than baking a chocolate cake for tomorrow, which I just did, I don't have to cook! Also got my shower for [sign in to see URL] my days can get away from me some how!
[sign in to see URL] hope you all have a fabulous day!
***MY HOUSE SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE CAKE****Yummm!

SUSA.....thanks, I think I will need it.
When we were Mom and Dad's last night, hubby said his Sisters email string went to at least 40-50 people! emoticon [sign in to see URL]'s NOT a family reunion, it's a celebration of their married life. Which is very [sign in to see URL] WE WILL NOT KNOW A [sign in to see URL] what few family members show up! emoticon

Do you see that I took part of the picture you sent me on Facebook and made it into a signature.

It rained like crazy here, just awhile ago. I am thinking of leaving all the feeders out tonight, so that I don't have water puddles in the feed box. I guess I will sneak out and take down the bird bath so that raccoons don't get in it and break it.

My student came. Only one of them. The oldest had surgery on her hand yesterday and she wasn't feeling up to coming, because of her anesthetic, not because of the surgery. My boy student got invited to a campfire tonight. His mom didn't think he would want to go, but he did!. His dad is going along. I hope they have fun. I think the rain should be stopped.

Good morning to you all here

I have started to receive email notifications for this thread, not feeling up to chatting, I ignored them, but can no longer

so here I am... good to read what you are doing Susan and Queeny... Queeny you lead such a busy life, and yes, I can smell that chocolate cake also... not a huge fan of [sign in to see URL], but yummy, home made makes all the difference.

Susan, Jim and I had to get a new mobile, ie. home visiting hairdresser the other day.. she seems a nice person, she has two Cavaliers, and said she would like to have a dachshund..

of course I immediatly thought of you, and oh, so sorry, cannot bring her name to mind at the moment, surely will as soon as I click "post" but you know how much I loved to hear her chatting here! emoticon emoticon

GOOD SATURDAY, May 20th MY FRIENDS!

Won't be here long at all. Gorgeous day out, and we have a ton to do. Need to get to Nampa to pick up some flowers, and Mom's Bday present. Then get the car washed, then back and clean up in time to pick up Mom and Dad for Bday dinner out.
[sign in to see URL] you all have a great day. Should be able to check in longer tomorrow morning.

SUSA.....I DO See you took that photo. It's really CUTE how you did it! SO YOU...

I PLAN ON IT!!! Actually I always do there, because we SIT and visit a [sign in to see URL], and sitting in a nice comfy long hippie skirt is way better than a tight waist band pair of pants.
I can imagine the raccoons using the birdbath to wash their food in. THEY may very well break it. I don't have them here. The biggest thing I get is a random squirrel in mine.

NANNY...Oh what a pleasant surprise to pop in here and see you posted.
Glad you like your new visiting hairdresser. AND don't we always do just [sign in to see URL]! I seem to remember in the middle of the night! Wake my self up..."OH I REMEMBER!"... emoticon

Hi Nanny! That is so cool about the hairdresser and her Cavaliers and wanting to have a Dachshund, too! It is good to see you in this thread!

Hi Queeny! I hope you have had a nice dinner, tonight! Happy Birthday Mom . . . on Monday.

Night, night all! I am going to bed and I am very late. I have been chatting with my student. The mother of the 5 boys. She is coming back to lessons on Tuesday. The kids will not be taking. It is too much for her, but she needs to get out and really wants to take lessons. This suits me wonderfully fine.

GOOD SUNDAY, May 21st MY FRIENDS!

Had a great day yesterday. Hubby and I got some stuff done, found a good humidifier, got him some new shirts for our Summer trip *(shopping with a man is a PAIN) [sign in to see URL] then got the car washed and took Mom and Dad out to her favorite cafe, came back home and ate the chocolate cake I made and she loved her necklace and earring birthstone set we got her.
[sign in to see URL] need to clean house, hubby needs to clean out the [sign in to see URL] are filled with leaves and the rain water pours over the sides and down the house. Then Dad wants to try BBQing something new, so don't need to cook today either! LOL
That is our Sunday. Gorgeous weather this weekend, sure is nice.....
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY...

SUSA...I think it's wonderful that the Mom decided that 'getting some me time" means taking lessons! That is just awesome. emoticon

Hi Queeny! You must have gotten into more than just cleaning house, today. I hope that your dad's BBQing is a success!

I have a very painful neck, today. I got a charlie horse at the base of my skull last night and it was excruciating and today I have had a lot of pain all day. I am hopeful that I can sleep tonight. It is very pretty outside right now. It keeps saying all day long that we are to be having storms, but nothing has happened. I am going to go jump in the shower. I hope it doesn't happen then. LOL

GOOD MONDAY, May 22nd MY FRIENDS!

[sign in to see URL]! Yep, doing laundry and waiting for the dew to dry so I can go mow the lawn, then grab a shower, as I have an appointment with my Doctor to check on the progress of my knee.
Great [sign in to see URL] think Mom loved being pampered both days. And Dad's tri-tip BBQ came out absolutely perfectly, yesterday!
Weather is [sign in to see URL] all weekend, and today is no different. But strangely, it is going to get [sign in to see URL] degrees today, 87 tomorrow! [sign in to see URL] kind of heat is going to get the snow pack melting way to fast.
[sign in to see URL] right [sign in to see URL] LIKE IT! [sign in to see URL] I said, I need to have my coffee, some breakfast and then go out and mow the lawn. Then grab a shower and head over to see doc. So I won't be here a whole lot today. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

SUSA...Yep, actually I cleaned the house, while hubby got the leaves out of the gutters. Then he rototilled my little corner for my wildflowers. I will plant some day this week.
Then I went out and helped him load 3 of those stumps that he had completely out of the ground in to our wheelbarrow, then rolled that to the dump [sign in to see URL] it took both of us to get them out of the wheelbarrow and into the trailer. THEY ARE FREAKING HEAVY!

I am so sorry you got that cramp in your neck. What a horrible place to have it! Hope you can get your neck to loosen up and not hurt so much and that you don't get bad storms today! emoticon

Queeny, I am very glad to hear that 3 more stumps are out!!! Is this all of them? I bet Roger is glad these 3 are done. Of course, they still have to go to the dump. I hope you did not hurt your back too much.

I hope that your wildflowers grow beautifully! I love wildflowers.

My neck still hurts, but is much better. I can feel a lump at the bottom of my brain stem, probably over #1 and #2 vertebrae. It hurt so just touch it, but it is still way better than yesterday.

****For Manchester, England****

GOOD TUESDAY, May 23rd MY FRIENDS!

Well, seeing how yesterday was so busy, I never got my laundry done. [sign in to see URL] that up today. I thought I might get out early this morning and plant my Wildflowers, but Hubby said Dad's rototiller would not do the job. Kept stopping, and I can not turn over all that ground with a shovel, and dig out the [sign in to see URL] too danged hard on me. So that is a bust today was well. Going to be hitting danged near 90, so the AC will have to come on this afternoon, I'm sure. So other than laundry, and a light [sign in to see URL] much on my plate today. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A MORE PRODUCTIVE DAY! LOL

SUSA.....I'm really happy that your neck is slowly getting better. I hope that never happens again.
Doc said my knee was doing [sign in to see URL] was still "Hot and puffy"...but he did not need to see me back unless it really starts hurting again.
We still have 3 more stumps. They are loose but not dug out.
And as you know from Sunroom, I've not gotten my wildflowers in yet. I bought even more to add to those you sent me and my "bee" ones. I have a total of 20 packets of all kinds of varieties and [sign in to see URL] perennials. emoticon
quote:

PS: I need you to tell me again how easy your carpet cleaner is to use. I never got the courage to try mine and I need to do that.

My hoover one? I like it! It's kind of hard on the body. But only because you are just doing this slow walk back and forth and pulling with your hands. I hope it does not hurt your [sign in to see URL] having that weight being pulled by your hands.
You should try it on just the main walk area of your living room first. See if you can do it.

Use the hottest water possible. AND I like Carpet Pet Concentrate for Steam Machines, 60 Ounce

There are others that are cheaper, or even made by Hoover, but this cleans the best and lasts the longest!

Sadly, I had already bought =oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1]THIS cleaner. =oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1]THIS is my machine. I think it is the same as yours.

I may put this off a bit a longer. I only bought the Hoover 2 years ago. emoticon

I am glad that you have bought a bunch of wildflower seeds and that they are perennial. You are going to love them. I am very glad about your knee.

GOOD WEDNESDAY, May 24th MY FRIENDS!

Won't be here long this morning. Ginger (the cat) needs her blood work done. They want to see how her auto immune disease is doing after the steroids treatment. But I will be back on later. We hit 90 degrees yesterday! But a bit cooler [sign in to see URL] 75 degrees. My kind of temps there. [sign in to see URL] you all have a great Wednesday.

SUSA......yep we have the same machine. Yours is just a year or so newer than mine. Mine is green.
That cleaner works good too. I've used it. Mom started using the Resolve one, then I tried it and found it worked just as good as the you [sign in to see URL] a bit better. emoticon
Oh two years [sign in to see URL] bad! At least it will always look new! emoticon

GOOD THURSDAY, May 25th MY FRIENDS!

Today is ladies day out. Mom and I are going grocery shopping, then to WareMart, then the Dollar store. Will probably end the day with lunch some place. Do not know when I'll be back, but I'm sure we'll have fun!
Yesterday, I pulled weeds, and dead headed the spent tulips and Iris, in the afternoon, got everything whipped back into shape, now it's time for the roses and daisy's to make an appearance.
I hope you all have a great day!

emoticon Yes, my cleaner will always look new!

I hope those people heading for the mountains took along the right clothes!

It did not rain, today! It has rained just about all week. It is to start again tonight and even storm over night. Tomorrow, though, looks clear with a high of 71, then it is supposed to rain all day on Sunday. After that we are to have nice weather for a week!

GOOD SATURDAY, May 27th MY FRIENDS!

Will not be here long, we are rotilling the wildflower area, planting those, then planting some other perennials (need to stop at the Nursery first to find them!) Also need to fix some irrigation issues, dig out 3 more stumps and HUBBY wants to rebuild Dad's little dump [sign in to see URL] built that 20 plus years ago, it has meaning to him. So we will completely rebuild it in 3 days for his Father's Day present. [sign in to see URL] you know my weekend. Oh and a BBQ at Mom and Dad's on Sunday, and one here on Monday!
I hope you all have a truly wonderful weekend...♥

SUSA.....I hope they took the right clothes too. We always had "winter" clothes in our [sign in to see URL] in the mountains, you never know!
I'm glad you are getting nice weather soon. It looks like we are in for a warm up next week. Maybe close to 90 by Monday! emoticon

You have a lot of work to do, today! I do not envy you. I am very glad that you are going to have your wildflowers. That is such a nice idea to rebuild that trailer for your father. He is going to love it.

I am soon to be offline to find food and a good book.

GOOD SUNDAY, May 28th MY FRIENDS!

Whew! Worked our butts off yesterday, and have so much more work to go. LMAO
Hubby rotilled the wildflower spot, then he went to start working on the little dump trailer. Then I planted all the wildflowers, and also planted two "Shining Sensations, Weigela" bushes. Then we worked more on the trailer. Only managed to get the old wood off, ALL the bolts were rusted to the frame, we both had sockets on either end and busted them [sign in to see URL] of [sign in to see URL] is slow going.
Hopefully we can finish by Monday and NOT spill the beans to Mom and Dad at our BBQ today! :)

SUSA....hope you got some good reading time in.
I will have to catch all the new topics on [sign in to see URL] off already today. emoticon
