That is funny, Queeny! That was a good white lie. I also keep my driver's license in my pocket along with my medical cards, and a $20 bill and a key to my house. I need to buy more minutes for my flip phone this summer. Queeny, if that is a TracFone you bought for them, you can get minutes cheaper online. You can also call them and ask for a 2 year package. It is not advertised on their site. It makes the minutes cost about $5 per month. Way cheaper than the others.

GOOD SATURDAY, March 24th MY FRIENDS!

Going to have to be a quickie here, hubby is up and just about finished with his coffee. We have a lot of work to do today before he leaves for Chicago tomorrow. Remove the toilet and lights from the bathroom, take a load to the recycle, another load to the [sign in to see URL], I will see you all again tomorrow morning....
Have a great Saturday you all!

Susa....no it was one of the ones they had for sale at Verizon. And her minutes are practically NULL. I mean this last time we got me a new phone, the guy brought up our statement and asked if we wanted to drop that phone as it's not been used in months. We just said..."it's Grandma's emergency phone"...the guy laughed and said..."Oh, I get it!" WE really do have an unlimited with the contract we [sign in to see URL] Hubby and I had to because we use our phones as WiFi when we travel and going online would really ring up the price! LOL

GOOD SUNDAY, March 25th MY FRIENDS!

Well, hubby is off on his business trip to Chicago. And of course as is normal for [sign in to see URL] did not get any sleep last night thinking on [sign in to see URL] not turn my head off. Or it might have been the Iced latte I had at 3pm at the Boise Home and Garden Show. I let hubby go because he's been working so hard and he loves getting ideas, it was beautiful and we did get a couple new things for outside. But we got work done [sign in to see URL] is out of there and the old one is capped, then we made a run to the recycle place, then to the dump. So hubby DID work hard. ANYWHO at the show we ran into Patrick Nauman, from Weiser Classic Candy and I got all stocked up on my chocolate, that will be my reward for getting the bathroom [sign in to see URL] better than Chocolate to fuel the body! 😘Then we had dinner out, and stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home for some new frames for the kids new photos we got. Came home and hubby packed, and we were up at 4AM. So he could shower and then drive the hour to the airport and still be within the 2 hours required to be there before his flight. THEN I went back to sleep! LOL
I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Susa...it is. We just wanted something that she could use for in case of emergencies. At the time they were still able to drive and were going back and forth to my nephew's place in [sign in to see URL] there is a 4 hour stretch where there is NO town!

So...got the walls painted with KILLZ Primer, from the looks of my hands and arms, you might wonder if I managed to get some on the walls. I can tell you that painting near the ceiling, is near impossible with tri-focal glasses! I did not bother taping off the ceiling as that WAS [sign in to see URL] in order for me to see through the right part of my glasses, I had to tilt my head back rather painfully while [sign in to see URL]! Neck is sore and my arms are arguing about having to type now, my legs were getting wobbly going up and down the step ladder. LOL GEEZ! I am so out of shape!
Got my bath, washed a good half gallon of paint out of my hair and off my hands and arms and face. Then I had my dinner and a piece of dark chocolate sea salt carmel from the Weiser Classic candy store.
[sign in to see URL] waiting for hubby to call me from Chicago telling me he [sign in to see URL] having a cup of Chamomile/vanilla and honey tea.

Susa, I bet I sleep like a log tonight, as long as I don't have any pain! emoticon
What time did you got to bed? How long do you normally sleep?
I am most often in bed and ASLEEP by 10PM or [sign in to see URL] MOST of the time, I do not wake up until 5AM.

GOOD MONDAY, March 26th MY FRIENDS!

I slept like a freaking log last night. I closed my eyes about 10, never woke up until 7:30 am. LOL Guess, I needed it...
I am about as stiff as that same log too! Mom and Dad want me to join them for all you can eat pizza at the Idaho Pizza place, but Mom is going to have to drive because Roger took our car due to the snow, to the airport, and they can not get up in the truck that I have [sign in to see URL] hate driving their Cadillac, it's like a luxury ship!
But, that kind of blows one day of [sign in to see URL] mid morning is when the sun is coming in that window in the Bathroom, so I have the best light and with the lights removed in there, I need the window. But I will do a bit of [sign in to see URL], not so much cleaning, as trying to put things we've used back in their place. Hubby is notorious for using tools and just laying them down were he last used them!
So that is my [sign in to see URL] about your's?

WHEW! I ate to much Pizza! That Idaho pizza has the best pizza buffet by far, but my lordy I can eat entirely to [sign in to see URL] I have a "dough ball" as my Mom calls it in my gut! LOL
So NOT painting today. But I do need to try to put the house in some resemblance of order. All hubby's tools need to go out to the garage, in the proper place, the ladders that I am not using need to go back out, the large plaster 5 gallon buckets and primers and sanding blocks, [sign in to see URL] need to be out in the garage. THEN I need to Mop the floor and vacuum and dust and change the AIR [sign in to see URL] we will not be sanding any more. A lot of work, but it needs done. I [sign in to see URL] when my house is not clean. I'm not a clean freak by any means, but I do like it to be acceptable!

Well I never got to clean.....I did organize and put all hubby's tools and drywall mud, tape and stuff all back in the garage. I did not count, but I bet it was at least 10 trips to the garage. WITH my hands full.....
I did once again find my kitchen counter and my dining room [sign in to see URL] were buried.
I then got a call from my son, so we talked a good 45 minutes and then hubby called. He usually calls just before they all go out to dinner, cause he never knows how late he'll be.
[sign in to see URL] hear this knock on the door and a flower delivery guy is there with this gorgeous bouquet! I think hubby was feeling bad for leaving me with the work, and a messy house!
It has small Sunflowers in [sign in to see URL]'m going with a sunflower photo and some delicate ones in a fake flower arrangement that will all go in my bluesy bathroom.

I WILL be adding the photos to my photo [sign in to see URL] one.

I sure hope that your tummy is feeling better. Your flowers are just gorgeous. You deserved them. I can understand why you did not get more done, today. You still did quite a lot.

My screen door is fixed. Brad couldn't find the correct part anywhere. He used the wire from the bottom of a coat hanger to fix it. It looks very sturdy. I had two more of those coat hangers here and I told him I would hang on to those, and not use them for any projects, so that he has them if he needs them in the future. The door looks just fine. He worked a pretty long time on it. He is very handy at things.

GOOD TUESDAY, March 27th MY FRIENDS!

Sheesh! March is almost over! 😮
[sign in to see URL] I need to put the finishing (I hope) coat of paint in the bathroom, and then clean if I can. This place needs the floors mopped, the carpets vacuumed, and a new air filter put [sign in to see URL], hopefully we will not be doing any more drywall sanding. So, lets see if I can add some lovely blue highlights to my hair!🤣 Craziest [sign in to see URL] have had a hawk around here for a couple [sign in to see URL]'s spooked a dove into my glass storm door before, then landed and took off with it. But [sign in to see URL] last couple days, I think one of her young ones as been trying to do the same. But he/she is not quite as good. Kind of lands very clumsily on my wooden bird feeder, and scares all the birds away. Then it sits there for a few seconds and takes off again. Not long enough for a photo, but it's fun to watch it learning....
Hope you all have a wonderful day...

[sign in to see URL] got most all the stuff I wanted to do, done. I got the bathroom painted, and cleaned up my mess, I also washed up all the blankets and rugs, last load in the dryer [sign in to see URL] ran the vacuum and mopped the floors. Only thing I have to do tomorrow is dust and change the air filter! [sign in to see URL] should sleep good tonight!
The bathroom today, in the different lights that came in the window throughout the day, the paint went from blue, to gray blue, to periwinkle [sign in to see URL] Oh, this should be good!
I hope you all have had a productive day...

GOOD WEDNESDAY, March 28th MY FRIENDS!

Hubby texted me early this morning, his flight is on [sign in to see URL] should be home by about 3:30 this afternoon. So all I have yet to do is dust and change the air [sign in to see URL] accomplished!
Other than those few things, and making dinner when he's [sign in to see URL]'m relaxing a bit more today. The weather outside looks gorgeous, all blue sky and sunshine. It is 42 degrees F. already and going up to about 65 degrees. I am liking [sign in to see URL] birds are enjoying a rowdy breakfast just out side the window..
I hope you all have a splendid day as well...🌈

I am glad that you are having beautiful weather now. You have deserved it after the two winters before this one. I am sure you and your mom are going to have a great day, tomorrow.

My students came, today. They may be changing to do 2 kids at a time on two days of the week. That is fine by me. I don't care how they choose to do it. Four in a row is a lot anyway. It was really raining hard when they were here.

[sign in to see URL] lied to you all.. I said I would probably take it easy. Well, not so much. I went outside to get the mail, and talked to my elderly [sign in to see URL] pointed out the weeds in our gravel under the RV. So, after her visit, I grabbed my weeder and went to work. Then went into the back yard and cleaned out last years dead stuff from the flower beds. I have a ton of Asylum and it last blooming until it snows. But now all that is dead and I needed to get it out. WHEN all was said and done, I had a 30 gallon garbage can full of dead material and weeds! So much for taking it easy!
Luckily dinner was simple.

Susa.....would you believe we will be hitting 70 tomorrow? Freaking amazing. I was out today in my knickers and short sleeved shirt....
I can imagine that 4 students one after another could get to be rather hard! I bet 2 at a time will be nicer! emoticon

Wow! Seventy degrees! We are to have snow tomorrow morning. It is to get up to 52 on Saturday, but then go back down on Sunday. It looks like the next 10 days it is supposed to be in the 30's and 40's with lots of rain, and snow off and on.

My stainless steel straws came today, so I probably won't be using plastic straws anymore. I couldn't figure out what number the plastic was. I know this sounds crazy, but I am sort of excited about that. I am still going to use my plastic cup. It is a #5 and it is supposed to be safe and it is so much lighter to lift. The only thing they fuss at all about that is that it is possible to get a bit of estrogen from it. I figure, I could use some estrogen. Now that we have been talking about plastic, it is amazing how much plastic we use!

GOOD FRIDAY, March 30th MY FRIENDS!

By the time I pick Mom up for our "Ladies day out" it will be almost 50 degrees F. And our high is to be just shy of 70!! HOLY MOLY! That should feel good....
[sign in to see URL], it's ladies day out. And it's going to be a longer one as there are sales everywhere and other second hand stores we need to hit. So I will see you all later this afternoon..
Have a great [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] you can't FIND the sunshine, BE the Sunshine! 🌞

Susa..>SNOW!? [sign in to see URL] sucks! Your whole next week sounds pretty yucky! Maybe it's the last one as Spring really comes in! *fingers crossed*
I've just stopped using straws altogether. I don't know what the number [sign in to see URL] I saw a [sign in to see URL] photos actually of sea turtles with plastic straws sticking out of their [sign in to see URL] were dead from not being able to [sign in to see URL] were in dire straights. I guess the straws look like something they normally eat, so they go after [sign in to see URL] was very sad!
I KNOW it's freaking amazing! Hubby was not all that thrilled about the Culligan thing, but I am keeping a HUGE black garbage bag in the garage and filling it up with [sign in to see URL] is constantly saying something about it. So he may be changing his mind....

It would be nice if you could compare the money cost of the bottled water with the cost of the Culligan water.

I am thankful that the water from my faucet tastes good. However, we have an extremely high iron content, too. I do not taste the iron in it. I know that houses with water softeners I have tasted salt, though I don't think salt is really supposed to be in the water. I am not sure about that though.

I started using straws, when I started teaching because with a straw in the cup I can take a drink and still follow the music with my eyes. I have gotten to the place that I often choke on liquids with drinking them straight from a cup, probably because I am accustomed to a measured amount coming into my mouth now. I hope I don't crack a tooth on the stainless steel or forget it is in my cup if I sit the cup back in the microwave to heat up. I am pretty worried about that, so I think I will remember to take it out.

HI DI HO and Good Afternoon...Mom and I had a great day shopping. Everyone had sales and everyone was out shopping! It was busy everywhere!
First we hit Walmart, then WareMart, then Albertson's, then stopped at Second Chance which is a second hand place whose proceeds go to kitty care, then lastly we stopped by our heating and air people to get a new filter early, because of the drywall dust we [sign in to see URL] finally get got home!
It is gorgeous [sign in to see URL] said it was only 58, but it feels much warmer, like pushing 65 or [sign in to see URL] now I have my windows open in the house again and I can hear people out mowing their [sign in to see URL] sounds and feels like Spring.🌷

Susa...I think as worried as you are, you will remember. And if you are worried, just make a post-it note and stick it near the numbers of your microwave.... emoticon
I know softener's are not supposed to leave the water salty tasting. But I CAN taste it and like at my [sign in to see URL] whole house water goes through the salt [sign in to see URL] they have one extra mini faucet on their kitchen [sign in to see URL] is supposed to be running through a filter to take the salt out of [sign in to see URL] CAN taste salt in it. I bring my own bottled water to their house...
I'd like to do a comparison of the waters [sign in to see URL] you really can not find the price online for like Culligan, because they have different filters, machines and waters... emoticon

Nope. I am doing nothing tomorrow. I have a nice big Stouffer's Turkey and Stuffing dinner ready and I am going to put ice cream in chocolate milk.

Should I sew carpet? emoticon I may vacuum. I really need to vacuum.

GOOD SUNDAY, April 1st MY FRIENDS!
Happy Easter, Happy Spring!
Well we got the new lighting in and the flooring laid, (just have to glue it today)...and that will probably be it, as we need to be over to Mom and Dad's for Easter Dinner...
Just gorgeous [sign in to see URL] both hubby and I had our shorts and short sleeved Tees' on. I believe we hit almost 70. Today a wee bit cooler, 66 degrees F is forecast with some rain showers coming in late tonight. But nothing that is going to mess up the kids Easter Egg hunts all over.
I do hope you all have a wonderful, blessed day, however you celebrate.

Susa....From what I read about your [sign in to see URL] better not do anything!! Except make your scalloped potatoes.. emoticon

emoticon Yeah. I agree. I think I will have another day of rest. Now, I must go get those potatoes done. I am hungry. I am going to make them off of my potato soup recipe and just alter a couple things. That way I won't have to wait a couple hours.

GOOD MONDAY, April 2nd MY FRIENDS!

Colder and windy [sign in to see URL] going up to 50F. But the skies are blue and it's very [sign in to see URL] course it's Monday and that means Laundry [sign in to see URL] With Hubby having been on that trip, I always have way more clothes. Will not have to cook dinner, as we have plenty of left-over Turkey from yesterday! It was a good day. Of course Mom went all out and we literally had a full on Thanksgiving [sign in to see URL] with fresh strawberry's over angel food cake!

Re:

The potatoes were good, but I need to tweak the recipe. Unbelievably, I think they had too much cheese. I probably also should add some butter to make them less sticky.

GOOD TUESDAY, April 3rd MY FRIENDS!

27 degrees F right now outside, going up to not quite 60F. And the birds are really active and talking this morning. It's almost deafening. I fill 3 large feeders, and they are empty by noon. Guess the word got out, I serve the good stuff! LMAO
[sign in to see URL] entirely sure what I am doing today, I need to hit the pet store (nothing unusual there)...but then I have no idea! I can say this HERE, but could not put it on Facebook this morning. We are having a "Surprise Kitten Shower" for the Ontario Feral [sign in to see URL] that kitten season is officially upon them, they will be swamped by [sign in to see URL] already have two pregnant females dumped at their door who are ready to pop. So a bunch of us are getting together on this Saturday morning during their normal feeding hours and giving them a surprise Kitten [sign in to see URL] of warm blankets, KMR (kitten replacement milk), kitten bottles, nipples, and vouchers for Veterinary visits. Of course it's a surprise and we are having cake and [sign in to see URL] I have some of them following me on FB so could not say this [sign in to see URL] is why I need to go to the pet store this time!
Oh [sign in to see URL] shall play it by ear. Something will come up, it always does.

Susa...Too cheesy for YOU?? emoticon
Yes, a little less cheese and a tad more butter might be good. Though, usually cheese has it's own fat, especially when cooked.... emoticon
